Tuesday

My dear friends,

We gather here today to lament the last day of hot weather (by hot I mean 80 degress +). The future weather forecast predicts tomorrow to be 70, and Thursday and Friday in the 60's. So go out and enjoy the warm weather before it's gone.

On a happier note, I would like to announce that my younger brother recieved the Toy Story 3 game for the Xbox since it was his birthday (he turned 5). With personal experiance, I can say that this game is quite entertaining. With the ability of mulitplayer or single player, free roam or story mode, you can do whatever your little heart desires. The controls are simple and the graphics nice quality. Though it is meant for younger children, the game is equally entertaing for young and old alike. Ok, cutting to the chase: This game rocks :D Seriously, I spent like 3 hours playing it.

Nothing else strikes my imagination as what to write at the moment, so until next week!

Je suis en Californie

California is HOT.  I got into the car (not Georgie as it was previously named, a different one) and I felt like i was shoved in an oven, like that witch in Hansel and Grethel.  I'm glad i missed the "heat wave" of  summer back up in Bellevue though.  What can I say?  True Seattle-ite.  Fine in any weather the rest of the world considers horrible, and dying in the heat of the only "brilliant" season; Summer.

Speaking of Summer, it is coming to a close.  I have mixed feelings on the occasion.  On one side, I am so ready for fall, nice, mild weather, on the other side, the coming of fall also means the coming of lost sleep and a prescription of procrastination.  The upcoming 31st of August is far scarier to me than the 31st of October.  Halloween will never compare to the return of textbooks, homework, and deadlines.

Anyways, Back to California.  My cousins got this trampoline that I just got back from jumping on.  (lotsa fun, by the ways) and with my brother out there, I can get SO high.  It's ridiculous. It's the coming down to watch out for.  This should be a simulation for Ecstasy.  I was really high in the air, then all of a sudden I'm back on the springy platform with lightly skinned knees.  I gotta say; Ow-ch!

On the topic of food. (just 'cause the topic of food is all-important and I'm sure you all care)  I've had chinese food every day except for two nights that I have been here.  And one of those shouldn't count because...it just shouldn't. Long Story.  Alright, chinese isn't my "fave" but it's okay.  Its just a little unusual for me to be having this much.  It's not horrible. but lets just say; Thank Heavens for the pavlova I made this morning. This Australian/New Zealand-ish pastry/cake is just the break I need.

Tomorrow i shall be heading up to portland.  Maybe I will not be having chinese food tomorrow night.  It feels like a gamble... one of those unlucky ones, like wheel of fortune.
