My Weekend as of Late

Weekend. When I think "weekend," I think, "Oh, hello there, Saturday and Sunday. Let's be productive, yet fun, shall we?" Yes. That is what I think.

I do not think, "Oh, hello there, two extra days. Let's cause drama now, shall we?" No. That is not what I think.

Because there was hella drama that did not need to occur involving a bottle of Clorox and an arm.

REGARDLESS.

I have been quite productive this weekend. Excitement for me.

This is what has gone down as of late:

1) Homework, doing it.

2) Homework, not doing it.

3) A snuggie, using it.

4) A Sam, texing him. (see more for later)

5) A double batch of cookies, making it

6) An APUSH paper, writing it.

NOW FOR MORE ON SAM. He's kind of a tool... haha. He thinks truth or dare works over texting. I mean, half of it does. You can ask anything you want. But the daring part, not so much. Honestly, you don't even have to do what the other person says because THEY CAN'T MAKE YOU so HA.

PS: Ms. Seaton's gonna kill me because my pants are too tight. Oh dang. Death by pants? I think not. It'd be like dying of salmonella from raw cookie dough. It's sad an all, but honestly, you'd have been killed by an EGG.

Relaxing? No Way!

As with most of you, most of my day was spent doing homework :( I have waaayy too much to do this weekend. But I'm going to try and put that behind me now.

So, other than doing homework, what else did I do today... Well, I listened to music while doing homework. And I went to get my passport renewed. Then my family and I went out to dinner at Zeek's Pizza in Bellevue, and then stopped by the University Book Store. That was fun. I found some Photoshop books that I really wanted... Anyways, after that we went to Bellevue Square to find some pants for choir on Sunday. I had a really hard time finding normal, black jeans. After many hours of searching (both today and previously), I ended up buying some black skinny jeans (because I got so frustrated, and was like "screw this") that don't look too much like actual skinny jeans. Anyways, then we walked around and stopped by another store, where I ran into Johanna! That was a nice surprise :) After that we came back home, where I continued to slave away over my stupid take home math test. >:( it is very frustrating.

Oh! I thought I would also mention yesterday's tech rehearsal. It was boring the first half because it was just cues with sound and lights, so Catherine and Cailyn and I went out and talked about Fable and tried to take a nap, but that didn't really work out. Then we had dinner, which was a blast (some funny convos going on). Once we got back to work, I got to use a power drill (hehehe) to install a fire exstinguisher, and then worked on other stuff. Also, we did like this dark wash/brown tint thing to the walls, so they don't look like plain white walls. It took a while, but it looks pretty good if I say so myself. AND I got to fufill my dream of going up into the rafters off stage. It was a pretty awesome day!

Now for a Photoshop pic:

I'm actually behind on making new pics, so this is an older one. It works really well if you tile it as a desktop background. For this one I was just playing around with sparkles and stuff.... so yeah.

Over and out,

Jesi

Jesi...
Jesus + Jesus = Jesi.
As in, when Sneha and I are both Jesus. He he he. Best religion class ever. True, it happened yesterday, but our skit was hella funny, what with the injured man, busy Levite, a Sammaritain who didn't know what a Sammmaritan was, and a donkey. Oh and some robbers who were Rio and Sydney... yeah that was fun stuff.
Anyway.
Today is WEDNESDAY. I went to the blog, and this was my train of thought:
Gaaa who ever is posting today has still not posted yet.
What day is it?
Wednesday...
Who posts on Wednesday?
...
...
OH SHOOT THAT'S ME.

Yeaaaah.... so that's that.
The other day we talked about slang words in French class. I'll just say, the French think they are hypercool. Heeheehee.
RIGHT. Weeeellll... today Kathryn and I went on a run. Down the traily thing to this park and then back up. Yup and then we played basketball... only not really.
I MADE A FREE THROW. YESSSSSS! Super glad I'm scoring not playing.
I wish it was lax season.
Where is February???

So basically, nothing much to report. Let me find a joke.
Math Joke:
Trigonometry for farmers: swine and coswine...

Hehehe. OINK.
Okay, I'm pretty sure I'm done.
Over and Out,

Ohhhhh my GOD!!!!

So. Last night was the dance. All I can say was that YES I had fun. Even though it was a lame dance. I had oodles of fun.

1. This one guy asked Amy to dance, and then his hotter and taller friend asked me.

2. Creepy Asian prowler asked me to dance. (prowlers are guys who walk around the room checking people out)

3. Prowler #2 asked me to dance. He wouldn't leave so I was basically in a complex wall sit for ten freaking minutes. My God did my quads burn.

4. Prowler #2 came back. We got split up by this parent who was all "we don't do this here." Except, well, we kind of actually do. She was terribly mistaken.

5. Asian prowler returned. We were interrupted by Amy, thank goodness.

6. Slow danced with a freshman. His group accidentally dressed like Alvin and the Chipmunks (i.e a tal one in blue, a short one in green, a normal one in red). I danced with the tall one and made the mistake of asking him about it. Their outfits were not intentional. Luckily I am skilled in the arts of improv (um not really) and worked my way out of that little pickle.

Except my not-a-date couldn't get a ride, and that sucked quite badly. :'(

I almost forgot...

I almost forgot to post today! Thank you Ellen for leaving me a message to remind me to post. ANYWAY. I am certainly glad this rough week is over. It's been hard in a variety of ways, and I think what we really need is a nice, relaxing weekend. Especially since next week is the start of tech week for drama! You should all come see the play, Twelve Angry Women, because it is going to be totally awesome :)

Moving on. You know what else I'm also excited about? FABLE!!! I finally played it tonight after holding on to it. It was fun! I kicked chickens... heheh. On the note of video games, have you noticed a lot of people lately have been playing that game,Bubble Shooter? It's actually kind of fun/addicting, so be careful if you don't have a lot of time to spend on it.

You can try Bubble Shooter at the link here: http://www.cybersalt.org/b/bubble-shooter

So yeah. Guess what I got? A super awesome and cute tissue box! 'Cause I currently have the sniffles... It's this Puffs box with like a holographic penguin on the front saying "happy holidays", and the box is all blue and shiny winter themed. It's quite exciting actually. I have seen three different holiday commercials today- it's that time of year again! I can't wait :)

Well, sorry for the late night post. Oh, and here's the Photoshop picture of the week. I tried the "tiny town" effect. Enjoy!

Have a good weekend!

Oh.....hey guys, I'm actually excited to play Flable. I'm going to get a CD drive thingy TMRW! heheeeeheeeeee

Hi. Poor Geraghty.

Nobody else visit's Hawthorne's house. Geraghty thinks they should. Hahaha. Poor guy.
Well I'm in English right now. Exciiiiiiitng.
I wish it was basketball season. He he he.
Now we are in class and I am about to make my point - yay I did! :D
Anyway now we are relating to Hester and stuff. I need to write that essay. Eww.
Well I don't really have anything to say right now, maybe I will comment more later!
Joke:
HAHAH just think of Geraghty. That should make you laugh (but NOT in a mean way! In a way that is just funny :) )
I'll post a joke later.
Ciao for now,
Ellen :)

Okaaay so I'm back. Not much has changed since A block this morning... just a few things
1. I should go on a run. Will someone come with me after school or during fitness or something? Kathryn and I might go soon... if we can convince ourselves to. I'm kind of lazy :/
2. I am in Math Club now. I did not do any Math during that time... hahahaha.
3. I wish I was playing a sport. When does indoor soccer start?/Is that happening? I've never played before... sounds fun :)

Yepyep. OKAY GUESS WHAT.
Joke time! This is not really a joke. Just a funny list I found on a website while searching for jokes. Let me know your favorite one in a comment!

A first grade teacher shared a number of well known proverbs with her pupils, asking them to complete the sentence. Their answers were surprisingly insightful:

As you shall make your bed so shall you... mess it up.

Better to be safe than... punch a 5th grader.

Strike while the... bug is close.

It's always darkest before... daylight savings time.

Never underestimate the power of... termites.

Don't bite the hand that... looks dirty.

A miss is as good as a... Mister.

You can't teach an old dog new... math.

An idle mind is... the best way to relax.

Where there's smoke, there's... pollution.

Happy the bride who... gets all the presents!

A penny saved is... not much.

Laugh and the whole world laughs with you, cry and... you have to blow your nose.

If at first you don't succeed... get new batteries.

You get out of something what you... see pictured on the box.

When the blind leadeth the blind... get out of the way.

Hehehe. I love 1st graders.
Anyway, DO NOT FORGET wear blue tomorrow for Cristina!
Over and Out.
Cheers,
Ellen :)

Pirates

I wish I was a pirate. How cool would that be? Just sail this bad ass ship around for your whole life, visit exotic places, no english grammar skills necessary, and not having to know the units in the unit circle. Life would rock.

On a different topic, Cristina! we all love you so much! Your phone calls, texts, and facebook messages say it all. Everyone is supporting you so much. As I'm sure some rapper once said, "YOU GOT DIS." You are a very strong faith-driven confident positive girl and if anyone can kick this it's you. We are all with you the very best through chemo, as well as for the rest of your life. Although I don't remember having cancer because I was an infant, I know the aftermath, and my way around Children's so if you need anything just ask! I LOVE YOU SO MUCH!!!! I cannot wait to see you! You are amazing! God bless!

On a different note, I have a crap load of math homework so I should get crackalakin on that.

Peace Hope Love,
Kylie.

P.S. on facebook, if you haven't already go join the group: Cristina Gives Me Hope. Catherine (and me, sort of) created this group and it's a place for messages to lighten Cristina's day a little bit. You can leave longer messages than the 420 character limit on wall posts. Post anything, good thoughts, inside jokes, memories, wishes etc. The thing that she really needs right now however aren't fb notifications, or texts, or visitors but just simple hand written cards.

P.S.S. the icon (blue heart and CJS made by Ellen and I) is great for icons. Steal it!

I guess I should post something, shouldn't I?

Yes, I should.

I don't have much to say. Here is a list:

Things to say:

1) I am doing my oral report in French class about Harry Potter.

2) I saw Dance Company last night. There were some really good dances and then there were some really bad dances. And then a couple in the middle.

3) I liked Shanti and Alexa's dance.

4) I have two pages of history paper complete.

5) I have zero pages of English essay complete.

6) I am in a mix of feeling too bad to eat and eating my feelings. It's blissful, because I have two lovers. One is Ben, the other is Jerry.

7) I am getting tested for ADD soon. Yep.

8) I am grounded again. Unless I have ADD because then that explains my grades? Hmm...

Dance Co.!

Since tonight is the Dance Company opening night, I figured I would go and support all my fellow dancers, as well as see the faculty dance. It's going to be a blast- you guys should all try and make a point of going.

Today has also been a very unproductive yet relaxing day. I did my English homework, yes, but nothing else. I know I should be working on my APUSH and English papers but... you know, there's the whole weekend to work, right? So instead I watched an episode of Project Runway online, looked up some patterns for pumpking carving (I'm doing it tomorrow, and still not sure what to carve into my pumpkin. Any ideas? leave a comment please!), and watched some mindless tv while playing around in Photoshop. Yeah, that was my epic Friday. Oh well. At least I got to eat some mac and cheese. That was delicious. And I got a giant pixie stix. That rocked too. hehe.

I feel really creative right now. I think I'm going to go draw something... like maybe a picture of a gazelle! Yes, I will go look for pictures of gazelles. Or flip through my National Geographic magazines... I miss 9th grade art. I really liked that charcoal project. Oh well. I'm going to make something (hopefully) pretty. Wish me luck!

The Photoshop picture of the week is the original poster I made for Dance Company in full color. They had to print the ones you see on campus in black and white to save ink and the money it would cost to print in color. So yeah. Click to see a full preview. Enjoy!

Adios!

Musique

Thats how gaga spells it. I think it looks cool.

So hey. Sorry for not posting yesterday. No real theme for this most so yet again, random train of thoughts. Choo choo!

-I am angry. I want to watch House but I cannot because of the Chemistry Test.

-Cailyn, we will not die, we revised the schedule.

-Pens are annoying if they leak.

-Dance company is so much fun! The teacher's dance is so funny. Haha.

-Mika is my new musical love. For now.

-Anyone want to make me a CD? That would be ah-mayzing.

-Ellen your CD volume I will be coming Monday. If I can get the CD drive to work.

That's all for today, sorry SUPER lame post, but I need to study.

I will try to remember to post on my day. As we should all :0

I decided it's good to be spontaneous (like Harry :D) so I'm killing my sing out.

BALALA
BYE
>Kylieee

THROW IT AWAY. FORGET YESTERDAY. WE'LL MAKE THE GREAT ESCAPE. THEY WON'T HEAR A WORD. FACE IT. THEY DON'T KNOW US ANYWAY!

Yeah. So basically I am rocking to my ipod while studying for chem. The Great Escape was playing while I titled the post. So I might interject a song every once in a while. Or some lyrics. Yeahh...
That sums up my week I think. Singing loudly to music while doing work that I don't want to do. Yay.
At least there is music in this world.
Fill up my cup! MOZZLETOFF!
Sorry for the spelling error. Right.
Soccer ended yesterday :( Last game of the season vs. SAAS. I have two soccer goals in life:
1. This is a dream, not actually going to happen - score a goal ... like from a corner kick, and you are that defender waiting perfectly positioned for the fall that pops out... and you one touch back into the goal area, and somehow it ends up in goal. Yeah.
2. BEAT SAAS. Just once. That's all. Maybe senior year.

Yep. And now soccer is over and I don't know what to do with my life... I miss it sosososo much! We started making the soccer video today. <3
At least I have lax in the spring. CANNOT WAIT.
Except for some stubborn leaves... who didn't fall with the fall, and now they clatter and bang........... What about? What about everything? What about aeroplanes? and what about ships that drank the sea? [GOOD SONG - What About Everything by Carbon Leaf]
Well, time to go finish rocking out and studying.
Joke:
Knock Knock
(who's there?)
Borg!
(Borg who?)
BORG OUT OF MY MIND.
That sums up English today - Scarlet Letter movie was HELLA boring.
Okay, love you all. And I really miss soccer (in case you didn't get that)
Over and Out.
Cheers,
Ellen :)

=.= Long posting rant (ranting post?) tonight. Sorry 'bout that.

I can never help but cringe when a character in a Tv show or movie does something completely idiotic.  Its inevitable, even if i've seen it hundreds of times, or sometimes even if i understand where its coming from.  More often than not, it has something to do with a character's romantic interest.

In the movies, keeping the two main characters apart is a tactic to lengthen the ending.  That one final hurdle that will make you swoon if it can be pulled off just right.

In tv; it is the exact same thing.   Once the two main characters get together, its over.  The interest is gone because the angst, the tension, and the reason you watch in the first place is gone (You know you secretly watch for the couples and not what the actual show is about :D ).  They may carry on doing the same exact thing they have been doing for the has however many seasons, but the drama, the spark is gone.  I have experienced this in a recent development of [H]ouse where House and Cuddy are finally together. Since they eased off a mystery based show into a drama between the two, the shock of the sudden resolution is not good.  House, notorious for being an ass is now....completely out of character for the fans that have been watching for a long time.  It's no longer a show that keeps you on the edge of your seat from week to week.  the "problem" is resolved every single episode. The Writers of this show may continue to stretch out the show, but my interest will not really be peaked again unless they break up.  'tis the unfortunate fate of a duo that would be amazing together.

(    The first counter example i thought of for this was Friends.  Yes Rachel and Ross got together wayyy before it was over, but the show didn't seem centered around their characters alone, and the drama was kept up with their on again off again relationship style.  )

The entire reason for this rant is that i just recently watched the 100th episode of Bones.  In short, i understand the decision by the writers, but it was not pulled off well, and it was not good AT ALL.  I'm pisssssssssed off. MAJOR-LY-like.

Okay.  So Booth is in love with Brennan.  And she (though she has not said it, it is implied) loves him too.  He finally gets the balls to tell her, and she tells him that because she is be a scientist, it restricts her from believing they could work because of the lack of proof. or something... (yea, I thought crazy at first too, but once you get used to her character, its kind of grows on you) ANYWAYS.

she tells him she can't change

AND HE GIVES UP

JUST LIKE THAT. (<--  to make the beginning relevant, i cringed here)

alright.  No.  This would never happen.
If you love someone, and you have the guts to tell them, then you should not just take the first (HESITANT) no for an answer.  NEVER.  THIS IS NEVER JUSTIFIED.

Except in TV shows (:( ). because they want their shows to last, and if they get together in the series then there's no more angst or anything (admit is you really love the angst), and it dies a tv show death.

This would be sad....but I'm completely pissed on how the convo went. It started realllly well....then just kinda....went to hell. Seriously, the scene might not have been longer than 4 minutes.

But yea.  I guess this is a life lesson? Don't be like Episode 100 in Bones.  Make the person you love reject you more than just one halfhearted "I can't change".

IF
YOU
LOVE
SOMEONE
IT
(should be part of the definition but, it)
MEANS
YOU
DONT
WANT
THEM
TO
CHANGE!!!!!!!!
gah. XP

well, thats all i got for tonight, sorry if you didn't follow me at all....

Nathalia: I'm still posting today, sorry :)

I know I posted yesterday as well, but oh well. I think we should be able to post REALLY important things (or just really pertinent things) that are not on our day.

It's Saturday and I am sitting in the Mercer Island community center. Here is a list of things happening.

1) My Ke$ha costume parts came yesterday and I am 5/8 done with getting the pieces!

2) I just finished my LAST driver's ed class and drive thank God.

3) The magazine came that my photo was published in but the colors got skewed up. Great.

4) My sissy is thirteen today! Can you believe it?

5) I have officially started writing my AP paper. I have about six lines. I have to have a finished rough draft if I want to make plans on Halloween. It's going to be a loooong week.

Katie's Weekly Challenge: Start your AP paper.

Song of the Week: Animal by Neon Trees. And your Love Is My Drug by Ke$ha.

KE$HA. OH MY FREAKING GOD!

(Some kids behind me are playing on Club Penguin... haha)

Katie ---> out. MWAH.

I figured...

Since it's Saturday, but Katie posted yesterday, that I would post my friday post today, if that's all right with everyone.
Who's going to the Open House today? I am. For choir though. Which takes a chunk out of my weekend that I could be doing homework. Oh well, whatevs. Anyway... I'm listening to Owl City right now. I really love their techno beats for background music- it always makes me just slightly more happy and optimistic than when I listen to other music.
I also just finished voting with my dad. It was... uneventful. Every time I saw another initiative, I kept thinking about those stupid commercials on tv. Speaking of which, you should check out this commercial (below) about America's future. It was pretty interesting, and kind of scary at the same time.

And for the Photoshop image of the week:

Note: this is not a real picture. It was rendered in Photoshop :)

Have a great weekend!

It is not my day to post (judging by everyone else I guessed it was okay this week)

Hello. This is not my day to post so I'll be brief.

Look at the time. Look at it long and hard.

I AM JUST ABOUT TO BE GETTING READY FOR BED GAH.

Pre calculus does not go well with midnights. Neither does wordly wise.
