mafia continued

So...I'm not completely in the mood for a full length post today, so you'll have to fill in the blanks for yourself.

The detective was terminated and so does not have a new suspect...sorry townspeople

The Killer has targeted kylie, but luckily for her, the angel has decided to save her.

also, the angel now knows who the killer is...and so does one of the townspeople, but since i have revoked the court system because no one cared enough to comment....ya'll are pretty much doomed because even if you all know who the killer is, no one is capable of convicting them....

haha, suckers.  I feel like God with an ant farm. with a pet anteater.

awww, how cute it heee?    probably not much to you guys...it's killing you.

BTWS, my mafia, i have a nikname for you.... :D

Woah...

So.. break officially makes me lose track of time and I completely forgot to post.....too bad the only other person who blogs on here and is not in Israel is the post nazi....I feel compelled to post even though no one will really be here to read it.

So, anyways.  On with the Story.

There's been a murder in town and Nathalia has died. It was epic, and you should all be terrified out of your minds because she took down our neighborhood black belt.....run for your lives darlings. (Note to our murderer....PAAHHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHHA that would never happen in real life, no offense)

Anyways, it should come as a terrible surprise that Nathalia was our detective and since she has now passed, she will no longer be there to help you, unless the angel becomes a mind reader and saves everyone who is attacked.   sorry.  moving on -> before she died, she suspected Ellen as the Killer, so now that is open to debate or voting or whatever.  I'm not sure it will really work though because no ones here.

Also, our angel saved Catherine....probably some mistaken idea of hers that Kylie and I were actually going to let her hurt herself while we forced her to walk in heels.... :3

Status Update
- Detective - Nathalia (Killed (Or would you prefer "Terminated" :D ))
- Angel - (Unknown)
- Killer - (Unknown)

By the way, I am excited for Cailyn's game of Mafia. Should be fun. But I won't be posting next week... so yeah.

I have to take my math test later today guys. Wish me luck... I hope it turns out alright.

OKAY so I don't feel like posting.

You might want to catch this one...

So.  Instead of a theme for everyone to follow, I have a theme that i will follow for however long it is relevant.  I will be starting a Mafia Game.  Online.

You are the townspeople, and you must go to sleep.  I have already chosen the Detective, Angel, and Murderer, and you will have to catch them.  I don't think we'll have a court system at the end though...since no one comments anyways.

There isn't much to post since the murderer hasn't committed the crime yet, but....we shall see, next week will be interesting.

--------

Hey guys! I'm posting from my iPhone, so this gonna be a short post.

Hope everyone had a fun spirit week this week, and that you enjoyed the choir performances at the assembly. It was a lot of hard work, but also a lot of fun. Also wanted to mention the sophomore class party: I had tons of fun, and thanks to the officers for taking the time to plan this for us.

Just an FYI for next week's post - not sure it's going to happen, because I'll be in Jerusalem. But if I have wifi, I'll try and post!

Obviously I can't post a Photoshop picture of the week, so just think of something nice to picture in your head, like unicorns and butterflies.

See ya,

facts as of late

I fell asleep during Spanish today. Not like oh I'm tired but I put the sunglasses on and took a nap. It was quite nice, really.

Our fish have become cannibals from lack of fish food.

I have a lot of math to do tonight.

But mom is making me clean my room which is stupid.

I wish I woke up tomorrow and it was snowy and school was cancelled and I got snuggle up in blankets and watch the whole first season of Glee and then read Harry Potter.

I almost cried in the car on the way home because we're listening to book 7 of HP again and we're at the point where Snape just died.

I think that the dinosaurs are hiding in underwater sea caves

My dog is driving me insane.

I have no inspiration and lots of homework. so this is going to be short.

Glee. Oh my gosh I love it. Kurt is amazing. so is Blaine. so is everybody.

"Blaine and I love football. Well, Blaine loves football. I love scarfs."

"I'm angry" "I'm Brittany"

"You look terrible...I look awesome"

Yeah. I may post more later.

Glee!

Hello everyone!

It's the end to another long week. Just take a deep breath and relax. Ahhh. Now that feels better, doesn't it?

I'm really excited for tonight, because I'm going to the father daughter laser tag event in a couple of hours! It's going to be awesome, I'm sure. I'm going to wear all black, maybe even put some eyeliner on to get in the spirit of the event. I love video games, (esp. games like Halo and Call of Duty) and so this is like real life action video game stuff. It's seriously just awesome.

And then there's this weekend. I've prepared for the choir weekend by finishing all my homework before 5 pm today. That was a really nice accomplishment, because it's going to be all work this weekend. Choir festival is an intense, but also a really enjoyable event. I'm so excited for it on Monday! Our preformance is going to be amazing, I just know it. Even if you don't like the choreography, I think we still sound pretty awesome. So yeah, please send kind thoughts to choir people this weekend so we can get through it all!

What else is there to say... OH YEAH. Smallville comes back tonight!!! After a month off (like a ton of other shows), it's finally back! I can't wait to see how the last half of the last season progresses. We're all waiting for the moment when Clark will put on his cape. I bet it's probably going to happen on the last episode, but it would be cool if it happened before that. Sigh. How many people even know about Smallville? Does anyone besides me watch it? If so, please leave a comment so I know I'm not alone :-)

Ok, Photoshop picture of the week. It was inspired by the return of Glee incase you can't guess :P You could use this pic as a wallpaper to show your inner Gleek too. Enjoy!

Peace out,

Nathalia

P.S. - here's the story that we're trying to keep up: Once upon a time there was a girl. She lived in the jungle with her pet dragon and enjoyed.../AND SUDDENLY SHE WALKED INTO A CLOSET. LIKE NARNIA./ The closet was filled with various overcoats and things, and the girl thought she was walking into Narnia! However, all she found at the back of the closet was wood. Then the girl sat down and cried herself to sleep, snuggling next to her pet dragon./

Punky is feeling Punky-ish

Punky is feeling Punky-ish.

Punky is going tro reflect on the day now. So don't leave poor Punky.

Hmmm....so...today, at Punky's school there was this thing called Honors Assembly. It's a special thing where Punky and her classmates could be recognized for their EXCEPTIONAL work in school. But Punky thinks its rigged. Everyone is special so everyone should recieve awards. Punky likes that idea very much.

Punky also thinks the end of the world is coming. No joke. -_- Something bad has literally happened everyday this year. Punky thinks she's gonna dieeeeeeeeeeeee. PUNKY SAYS TO STAY AWAY FROM THE EVIL NUMBERS- (11 and 14 and 22) For example, Punky's friends lost a basketball game to a bunch of teachers because three of the kid's jerseys were 11, 22, and 14. So HAH. Punky proved the evil number theory. ALSO- there's a really bad snow storm in the midwest and a cyclone is going to Australia. DUN DUN DUN. stay tuned for more.
Oh. And there's that whole thing in Egypt. I wonder what that's about (punky is being sarcastic- hint hint, cough cough, wink wink)

Punky has a question- What if YOU lost a mountain?

Punky needs to do homework. Punky needs to stop writing this. Punky says bye.

P.S- Punky hopes you were able to understand this Punky-ness.

Cheese Danish

Today is a good day. Here's why. I woke up to my alarm at 5:40, got out of bed around 6:40, went to Toads coffee at 7:20, bought a cheese danish and apple juice, and got to school early, around 8:05. I have a lot of homework to finish tonight, including reading to chapter 19 in Huck Finn (I need to be ahead because of History paper), three paragraphs in History, and roughly 70 pages in that MLK book. Lots of homework, but ohwell. If i finish early I'll watch Pretty Little Liars :)

Actually that's a lie. I'll get startedon Theology questions because that would be nice to get ahead.

I literally spend 30 minutes yesterday planning out my entire week/weekend based on homework.

good use of time?

actually, yes.

Dress of the week:

I'm super glad we got out sweatshirts yesterday. Mine is rather warm. I do not think anyone will have trouble remembering the year we graduate now :)

So Cailyn didn't post yesterday, so I guess I'll start the theme. It may not work, but maybe it will. I wonder how far we could keep this going. I'll start a story, and at the end of your blog post, you continue it. and we'll see what it turns into.

>Once upon a time there was a girl. She lived in the jungle with her pet dragon and enjoyed...

Let's keep it going! haha

What else is there to talk about.

>Flameboy is mean.

>My cat is adorable.

>My lunch is tasty.

>So is this apple juice.

yeeeeeaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhh.....

OH theology class. I have a feeling that this semester it is going to get quite messy. we're talking about morality and many people in our class have very strong feelings. It also doesn't help that I don't agree with Carasco's point of view at all. She keeps talking about the Christian Utopia, and honesty, etc. And I agree that honesty is great but in order to have a Christian Utopia, we would need to say "these people are wrong, and we (Christians) are right." Utopia for Christian's, sure but not for anyone else. It's like saying "We can have world peace as long as I'm the leader." That again would be saying someone is right and someone is wrong. Again, not a Utopia for everyone. Utopia, by definition, means perfect. So who decides what is perfect? Again, it would be a Utopia according the Christians with what she's talking about. And for a Christian Utopia (perfect world) to occur, obviously they would decide what is right and what is wrong, who is correct and who is misled etc. and they would need to change other people's views. Maybe they think they are helping create this Utopia, but not being a Christian and being forced to live in the "perfect world" would make me pretty angry. I do not think there is every a possibility for a Utopia (sorry to be pessimistic) because like I said, by definition, Utopia means perfect, and creating one would give someone the power to decide what is perfect. Everyone has their own Utopia because everyone is different.
Did that make any sense?
And she brought up the point of "is killing someone moral?" I am just hoping no one bring up the topic of abortion because that would get really heated. Is an embryo considered a human?
But then again, what if Utopia doesn't mean "perfect", it means "Different" and accepting differences.
Problem: Some people believe in fighting for what they believe. Then war starts. not so Utopia now is it?
So then we go back to accepting differences and not waging war.
Sure, little differences are fine, but what about the psychopath or that person who believes that killing people because "God said so" is ok? Then what? Do we accept that that's how he thinks and accept his differences? If not, then who decides what differences we accept and what differences we do not? He believed what he was doing was right, who's to tell him he's wrong? What if we're the crazy ones?

Comments?
Thanks for reading (if you did.)

Adios,
Kylie.

Whoops

So guess what guys. i officially got the okay to play softball!

EXCEPT. I have conditions where I cannot get a C or lower on an assignment before the season starts. Which I already have. But I got it before the terms were set, so, maybe there is still hope.

Whatever.

I would love to not fret about school for once.

My stomach still hurts.

HERE ARE MY PET PEEVES:

1) People who get mad when you don't explain things, then when you do explain things, they misinterpret them and get angry when you try and correct them.

2) People who say something with no humor whatsoever, then repeat it after no one laughs because they think they were too quiet. Making things louder does not make them funny.

3) When I have to not get any Cs at all to do something I am really excited about.

4) Vectors.

5) Facebook likes that really are not funny but somehow manage to acquire 16K likes.

6) Homophobia.

7) Reading 110 pages for homework. coughcarrascocough. Excuse me.

Ode to a stomach ache
So you're really good for nothing
But you give me an excuse
To not do any housework
And not be of any use
I really really hate you
My least favorite kind of pain
But I got to sit around
And not really use my brain.

What to do...

Hey everyone!

Happy Friday! I'm so glad this week is over. I kept thinking that one day was actually another and it was all very confusing. But now it is the weekend, which normally I would celebrate, but I have a lot of stuff going on... so yeah. Not all of it is fun.

So, pet peeves, huh? Well here are mine:

1. When people try to talk in an accent but they really can't.

2. When books have a cliff-hanger ending and the next book in the series isn't out yet.

3. When my nails accidentally mark up my piece of clay in ceramics.

4. When a t.v. show takes a break in the middle of a season (Glee, Smallville, etc.!)

5. When I get two copies of a magazine that I subscribe to...

6. When gel pens are not organized in correct chromatical order.

7. When my iPhone tries to autocorrect my words while I'm texting (sometimes helpful, most of the time not).

8. When on Bubbleshooter, you eliminate a color, and then the next ball is of the color you just eliminated, thus bringing more of that color back into play.

I feel sure I have more, I just can't think of them right now. I'm kind of checked out of thinking right now actually...

So Photoshop picture of the week! (It's also on my other blog, as my submission to the layers challenge). A really pretty vector image:

So yeah. Enjoy!

Over and out,

UNTIL JERUSALEM. Hopefully we won't all be blow up. Kylie...
BTW we definitely need to have a shopping for supplies trip... Kylie...
And Sharon is Karen but not. Kylie...
OKAY SO
Thank you to everyone who wished me a happy birthday! :) All of you made my birthday awesome.
Anyway, woah, this is crazy, but I literally have NOTHING due tomorrow! I did it all yesterday! And then there is nearly NOTHING due on Friday! WOAH. I feel like there's a tidal wave coming or something...
So not much to report I have some Harry Potter books I need to read :) :) :) (If Kelly reads this...)
BTW we got homework for our Jerusalem trip... draw a picture and write a story ?!?!?! Should be interesting... I'll try and find my inner artist :/
Anyway, today's religion class was interesting. We actually had a pretty interesting discussion. Interesting, amusing, thought-provoking... wow
Plus, what do you guys think of Huckleberry Finn? Il m'amuse so far...

So I was looking for a joke about cake, and instead I found this blog: http://www.jokesaboutcake.com/
What? I don't really understand...

Joke: Not particularly funny, but the answer made me think of AVPM so that made me laugh.

How many Slytherins does it take to light up a wand?

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Two: one student to light it and one Head of House to give them an absurd amount of points for it.

Yep. Okay. That's all.
Over and Out.

I hope you have a very fun day! OH MY GOSH
YOUR BIRTHDAY IS ON...

TUESDAY!

crazy.

So I would write by bucket list but... Sorry :) I don't really have a bucket list anyways (Catherine will tell you a different story) because it seems like a goal in life. And once you complete your list, then what? Once you complete your life goals do are you finished?

Anyways.

Hows school treating you? We're almost 1/2 way there! through the school year as well as through High school!

that's a weird thought.

What else.

Dresses!
I love modcloth so much. So Nathalia does a PS picture a week? Maybe I'll do a dress a week. at least until I get through my list. haha

What else.
I say that too much.
What else what else what else...

My history B block has a blog. Based on our class pet. the penguin.

Themes Anyone?

Sooo.  I'm running out of ideas. Just so ya know themes don't have to start on Monday, so if anyone wants to jump in, here's the "official" go-ahead.

Anyways.  i can't think of much, so I'm just gunna post my (so far) bucket list.  If I forget anything, go ahead and lemme know or leave a comment, and I'll put it in.

1. Go down to the Basement of the 800 building
2. Travel the world (w/ ellen)
3. After traveling the world live in an apartment somewhere with ellen
4. Crash a Newport Dance (^.^)
5. Go to Scott's (1nce a year minimum)
6. Publish a book/send one off to a publisher/finish one... (preferably before graduating college)
7. Get a Boyfriend (^.^) (preferably soon)
8. I forget what i'm doing with Kylie (little help?)
9. Find a way to get my kids to go to the same preschool as Puffkin's kids (preferably without her knowing)
10. "discover" a country in the library and plan the takeover
11.  .....any others?

I guess this could be the theme for the week.  It's not perfect, but whatcha gunna do with something that you just got out of thin air?

Winterbowling (It's a pun... It's puny)

Yeah. Winter Ball. Did you go? I did not. I want to know if I actually missed out on anything. I went winter bowling. That was really fun. I am not a very good bowler. Except then I was the second game. Maybe I just cannot do anything right the first time. OH WELL. It was a blast.

Right now I am watching What A Girl Wants on ABC Family. Life is good.

Ode to not having a boyfriend:

The Silent Treatment

Do you know how hard it is to give someone the silent treatment? Especially when they're doing something funny, and you just can't help but laugh. Yeah. It's not easy. But with much practice, I'm sure I, and a few other people, can improve this skill. Moving on-

So, how was your week? Mine was alright, thank you very much. It ended quite nicely, because in religion (last period) we did this exercise where we wrote about our high and low points during the past 24 hours, and then talked with our desk partner about each other's highs and lows.It was really relaxing and refreshing to just talk with someone about life, especially about the things that might make you sad or upset, but you don't really say anything. You could apply this to your own life too! Just take a minute to talk with someone, family or friend (even stuffed animal!) about your problems. Stuffed animals won't even talk back to you if you just want someone to confide in and not get a response. Don't worry, you're not crazy if you sit in your room alone, talking to stuffed animals. Really, you're not. I do it all the time :D

Hey guess what? Since I was feeling super creative when I got home, you get 2 Photoshop Pictures of the Week! They are both of this PINK dog (that's the brand name because no, the dog is not the color pink) that I got a couple years ago as a present. Enjoy!

P.S. If you are going to Winterball, have fun! I wish I could go... yeah. TTYL!

-Nathalia

Rejected.

Depression hurts. No words can't even begin to express how some of us feel right now (you know who you are).

I'm too depressed to even post.

Bye. (If it's okay with Nathalia, I'll post something special tmrw morning)

Wednesday, January 19, 2011

Not doing things on time.

1. When teachers don't post grades (GERAGHTY)
2. When you can't find an assignment that you did to turn in, or when you totally forget to do one
3. Being really late to an important event
4. Not planning my bday in time, and now the weekend I was going to do, I have something else! Granted, this thing will be awesome and I can't wait, but I'm still bummed cuz now I don't know when to have a birthday.
5. When someone says they will do something, and then they don't
6. When I didn't get my license soon enough, and now instead of 6 months for waiting after, its a year?!?!?!? (<-- is this true?)

Other things that bother me:
1. When people completely ignore you
2. When you get a completely unsatisfactory answer to a very important question
3. When your phone dies, just as you need it
4. The dumbass laws about marriage. WTF.

On the brighter side, things I really like:
1. Winning at Presidents
2. Playing cards with Haley (the freshmen) (aka a fork fight)
2.5. Some freshmen
3. Hanging out with friends
4. Listening to Jennifer quote Mean Girls
5. Handbells
6. Warm cookies
7. Harry Potter
8. The Lion King
9. PIXAR
10. Not doing homework

Agree? Disagree? Comment with thoughts if you want!
Joke: because I really want an root beer float right now
How do astronauts eat their ice cream?

In floats!!!

How do you make a dinosaur float?

(this is a really good one)

Put a scoop of ice cream in a glass of root beer and add one dinosaur!
BAHAHAHAHAH okay not funny :)

Alright.
Over and Out.
Cheers,
Ellen :)

Peeves.

So basically I was going to be funny and put a picture of Peeves from Harry Potter here (heh pun.) but you know what?

PEVEES WAS NOT IN THE MOVIES! WHERE WAS HE? AHHHH

thats a pet peeve.
I actually have a lot of peeves.
heres a list of the first few that come to my mind.

1. Hair in the bathtub/shower
2. Feet (not the person, the flabby flesh thing attached to your leg.)
3. People who have dumb or annoying laughs
4.When really fat people wear jeggings/leggings. I mean I totally support embracing your body type and all, but is that really necessary?
5. Negative people. Brighten up. sing a song. do anything. if our lives are lakes, stop being a brick.
6. People who don't take a hint.
7. when someone straightens their hair but misses a section in the back.
8. people saying gay or retarded.
9. the number 47 >:(
10. She who must not be named (xxxxx)
11. people who talk to loudly or too much. shut. up.

That's enough for now.
It annoying because three shows I enjoy watching on hulu all come out on Tuesdays which are my busiest days of the week homework and school wise (usually, thank God for winterum) so I really want to watch them but can't. gaaa.

story:
During Christmas morning breakfast Devin was telling us this plan he has:
1. buy a cat.
2. name it Peeves
3. tell everyone it's his pet peeves.

Good job Devin. Gold star.

You all should go check out my moms blog if you don't already (it's a photo a day blog) --> islandfever44.blogspot.com and leave comments because she really enjoys those. I'll get everyone who got prizes or whatever those soon.

Ok. Golden Globes. Amazing.

Highlights:

-Colin Firth in the King's Speech winning best actor. I love him so much and he did an amazing job in the movie. if you have not seen it it, go see it.

-CHRIS COLFER! how adorable is he? <3
http://www.hulu.com/watch/207732/golden-globes-supporting-actor-tv-series-chris-colfer

-The Kids are All Right. I was really glad this movie won best movie, plus Annette Bening winning. Plus Chris Colfer winning for his role at Kurt. And yet my moms can't get married. Does that even make sense? I don't understand the government sometimes.

-Olivia Wilde's dress & shoes=LoveLoveLoveLoveLove.

More Golden Globe moments but that's all for now! What were you favorites?

Pet Peeve!!

Hey guys.  Theme for the week anyone?  I decided that I would make it Pet Peeves.  So, If you have no idea what to talk about you can just ramble about some annoyance of yours.  It seems like a sweet deal to me, i personally like being able to rant without ranting at someone.

Irony.  I HATE it when people say things are ironic when they are coincidences.  THERE IS A DIFFERENCE.

If something can be classified as a "coincidence"  it is usually not "ironic".

sorry about the short post but...this pretty much sums it up...

Not Knowing What to Post

Today
Is a Saturday
Rain is drip drip dripping
From the roof of my messy house
But it isn't really raining
At all

And so here I am
Sitting
Thinking
Waiting
For something to happen
Anything
On a dull red couch
But nothing's really coming
At all

And you're sitting there
Reading this
Thinking, "Katie
Stop writing this.
Blog for me.
This is stupid."
But I really have nothing to say
At all.

That was necessary.

Freedom!

At last! Finals are over. Time to celebrate!!! Let go and have some fun, because you all deserve it. I know that I definitely made some fun during these past couple of days just to relieve some stress. Actually, it was more like some certain friends of mine did some crazy stuff that I just happened to be around to experiance. I wish I had my video camera with me to share those crazy moments :)

Ah well. Monday is another day off, and another day to partaayy! Then comes Winterim, which should be interesting. I'm in Basic Needs with Ms. Lange. Of course it's going to be interesting :D

It's a Friday night, and I'm going to go watch a movie (here at home) with mia familia. So Adios. But not before the Photoshop picture of the week. Which reminds me: I am super excited for Photography next semester!!!

Yeah. It's a picture of Snoqualmie Falls, but with purple water! It looks kind of magical, huh? That's what I really like about this picture, and was the effect I was going for.

Enjoy!

O.o

That title is how I feel.
I gotta go and study for Theo + English + APUSH.
Life is cruel.
Here's a joke to lighten it up:
It's tooootally lame joke. From the first to the last word. Honestly. But its so stupid, its somewhat hilarious.

Q: Why do bears have fur coats?
A: Because they'd look stupid in anoraks!

BAHAHAHAH okay fail.

Here's another, if you get it.
So a blonde, a brunette, and a red head are walking down the street. The brunette turns to the others and says, "Is this some kind of a joke?"

RIGHT so if you get it, awesome, kudos to you.
If not, I didn't get it the first time either.
Ciao for now.
Over and Out.
Cheers,
Ellen :)

L'enfant qui voulait etre un ours

Hmmm, what do people think? the title is the Title of a Movie I kind of want to see.  It's french and if it sticks, post with the title, and a synopsis of the movie.

So, basically, there's this bear that looses its baby ( :( ) and so when it finds a little baby <> he starts to raise it.  and then the stupid other eskimos come and kind the kid after hes grown up, and that is sad because the bear and the esquimau miss each other.  I don't know what happens in the end because I haven't seen it yet, but I want to!!

Well, sorry about the short post, but I'm trying to figure out how to make a Prezi show.  If any of you are in A block English with me, it's the thing Michelle used to make her presentation.  It's very confusing, but It's pretty cool too.  If you have time, I would try it, I mean, nows the time too because it's blackout week!

Alrighty Guys. Thanks for that.

It's a Sunday. Today I'm going to study a lot, so the post is going to be fairly short. But I am really happy that everyone posted! I love coming home and reading these after a long and stressful day.

Now, in light of the upcoming tests, I feel as if we should take time to appreciate this great opportunity.

Ode to Finals
Finals aren't a test
To see who is the best
They aren't here to make you fail
Or make you groan and wail.

Stay strong my friends
This isn't the end!
These finals will not kill you.
For if you pass
And kick their ass
Your GPA will reward you.

Yeah, that was probably the crappiest thing I've ever written.

Katie's Weekly Challenge: PASS YOUR FINALS. Do your best. Stay strong.

Song of the Week: Fireflies by Owl City (and the chamber choir xD)

WHOA GUYS LOOK AT THIS. IT'S CALLED A PHOTOSHOPPED PICTURE.

Hey. Notice the P theme? Yeah. Catherine kind of broke that rule, but I've decided I'm going to bring it back. Haha. I just thought of Justin Timberlake and how he brought sexy back.

Anyways. How was your first week back from vacation? It's a bit stressful, and with finals next week... well, it's going to be... Yeah. Not nice. So let's talk about more pleasant things.

Wednesday was my birthday! 16 at last! I feel so old... haha ok not really. I am so ready to get my driver's license. I just need to take driver's ed. Wonder when that will be... Guess what one of my presents was? A Sony Bloggie! And it's pink! I love it. Overall, it was a great day. Thanks so much everyone for the well wishings. You truly brightened my day :)

Well I can't really think of anything else to say... Other than I found this new song by Far East Movement called Rocketeer. It's amazing. Go listen to it.

Ok here's the namesake of the post: The Photoshop Picture of the Week!!! Here you go!

This first one was sort of the original picture that I started with. The one below is what happened after I tweaked it.

Done!

Adios,

Nathalia

WHOA GUYS LOOK AT THIS. IT'S CALLED THE BIGGEST FAIL OF MY LIFE.

As we all know, Forest Ridge is a special place.

We have no social life, constantly deprived of sleep, etc.

But we have fun, right? With all our friends and teachers...uuhhhhh hold up.

.....Teachers. FR Teachers.

FAIL.

Don't you all think some crazy teachers are absolutely nuts?!

There's one specific one who thinks it's normal to make hazardous lamps, hit poor Punky, ditch their students, lock their students in a room, break ovens while baking....etc. (cough cough...stargirl/flameboy/firefly/porcelain/moon dust/pretty pretty princess/their yabba lizerd)

Then there's this other teacher who is just....awkward? Except not...she's just another FAIL. She tells kids to "sell themselves" (but not in THAT way- good advice, right?), steals their lunch money, writes ransom notes, thinks a land bridge still exists between Russia and Canada, has issues driving (aka getting lost at a mall parking lot/getting hit by a bus), etc. (cough cough...FEET!)

Oh, but there's actually one really nice teacher at FR. CHACO!!!!! (rafferty) She's totally on our side (we think) and doesn't have a problem going against Flameboy and Feet. It's all good.

Well...we have to deal with these teachers every single day....

Pray for us.
Pray that we don't die from homemade brownies and lamps.
Pray that we don't ever get stuck on a landbridge (that doesn't really exist).

Oh, and pray that we somehow get to corrupt these teachers. Cause that's a nice bonus too.

FAIL.

Oh, btws, HAPPY BIRTHDAY, MS.CANTU!

Bye!

WHOA GUYS LOOK AT THIS. IT'S CALLED A POTATO.

It's also called PRESUMPTION and PERSUASION in one PARICULAR PALESTINIAN direction. And I am not saying I am pro-Israeli. I'm just saying we NEED to hear the other side. I am not pro-Israeli Government's Decision to Build Walls. But that doesn't mean that's what all Israeli's believe. Palestinians are afraid of the Israelis. The Israeli's are obviously afraid of the Palestinians as well. Sure, there is that whole land dispute, but that's not the only thing creating these boundaries. Maybe it started it, but it's not the only thing going now. Are they afraid of suicide bombers? Probably. Nobody wants their kid or friend or sibling or spouse blown up. But not all Palestinians do that. But Israeli's are probably very afraid of that. However the Palestinians take violent routes because they are often shown them, and it is one way for them to remind Israeli's of their presence and try and assert their freedom. I don't live in this conflict, so I don't want to say stuff I don't know, so I'll try not to make assumptions, just base predictions based off of human nature. When humans are scared, they build walls. The Great Wall - containing China from feared outside forces? When humans are scared, they take unnecessary measures and involve the military, and make presumptions. The United States - afraid of terrorists, send military action to random parts of the globe and suddenly many Americans fear everyone in a turban. COMPLETELY irrational, but it's a fact of some Americans.
I want to hear the other side. I won't say I agree with it, I won't say it's a valid idea, or that it makes sense or whatever. But I deserve, we deserve, to hear that side. I'm throwing that out there. I don't know if you agree. I don't know if you care. I don't know if you are open minded enough to care. That was harsh. Sorry. I don't know if you want to see both sides. But I want to know.
I understand the Palestinians are the minority here. I understand they have gone through hard stuff. They have a rough life, they aren't living it easy. Trust me, I understand. Their opinion should NOT be ignored or under-valued or anything like that. However, the other side is completely important. To hear, to evaluate, to brood on. It is important. This is not a one-sided, one-idea conflict. Please. Please. Can we please hear other opinions about what is happening and about why it is happening.

I'm sorry if you have no idea where this is coming from, we had a Jerusalem trip meeting today. So far they have been pro-Palestinian, which isn't bad, but I'd really like to hear some other opinions. We wrote an essay on this for Segall. I thought this trip was to help lead to understanding. So far I've just heard a lot from one side. Understanding is defined many ways, a few from dictionary.com being: comprehension; a state of cooperative or mutually tolerant relations between people; a mutual agreement; settling differences... You can't settle a difference with one side of the story. Just saying.

As you can probably see, something has really ticked inside me. I asked for the other side, and they said "Read the news." NO. NO. NO. NOT THE ANSWER I WAS LOOKING FOR. I don't want the sob-story side of the Palestinians. I want the side of the Israeli's that has their reasoning, not the Governments. Sure some opinions will be the same, but not all of them. Not all of us agree with what the American Government does. Can't deny that.
Segall and Palmer said they would work on it. I hope so. I really, really, really hope so.
I was feeling pretty downtrodden voicing my opinion today in the meeting because it didn't feel like other people agreed. But then Haley spoke up and said she agreed, that really made me feel better. Because having the teachers not say, yes, I agree, we need to see the other side, just did not feel right to me. I'm sorry if you don't agree. But can you at least see my logic?

Siiiiigh. Leave a comment about this if you want. If you agree, then I'm glad. If you disagree, you are entitled to that opinion. It would be great if you let me know in person too. If you are of either opinion. Just some response to that. Thanks.

Okay, that felt really good and now this is a really long post that many people probably won't read. But I had to write it.

Other note: GUYS. SOME OF THE REASON PEOPLE DIDN'T POST WAS BECAUSE THEY DIDN'T HAVE THEIR LAPTOP. Cool? Cool. It's not that I didn't want too :)

Joke: What do you call a baby potato?

A SMALL FRY!

Over and Out.
Cheers,
Ellen :)

PS: didn't edit the long post, hope it makes sense
PPS: Happy Birthday Nathalia!
PPPS: Watch the movie Promises... I love that movie! Though I think we've all already seen it. :)

WHOA GUYS LOOK AT THIS. IT'S CALLED A PARROT

How was your break? Mine was very fun. It is sad that it is over, but it is a new year and it's sort of fun to "start over". I feel like someone pressed the refresh button on my life. sort of.

I replaced the backspace button on me keyboard with a label that says 'avada kedavra'

Way to not post over break people. Lets try to make this a regular thing that i don't only check mondays and saturdays.

In history right now. hmm...
I'm going to try to not go on hulu or facebook until the weekend for a month.Let's see if I can do that. Anyone want to try with me?

I like the exchange student's hair. Just saying.

WHOA GUYS LOOK AT THIS. ITS CALLED A PENGUIN.

It's so cute!!! <3  if you set it as your background it starts to look like one of those lubies :D
Yeah...sorry Katie, couldn't resist :).  Anyways, that is not the topic of this post.  I once again have something (mildly) interesting to talk about.  Well, we'll see, last time I said that, the post was only like and inch and a half long, and then I just added a bunch of pictures...hahaha, I'm really crossing my fingers right now.

Don't you all feel kind of like a Rapunzel up on the hill?  Sure, most of us have pretty short hair, but all the other markers are there.  We're at the top of a (kinda) tall hill, and in every other direction if the society that surrounds us.  The one we aren't really connected to.  I'm pretty sure with the technology we have today, we could escape without the help of abnormally long hair, or some random tights-wearing prince to aid us, but the idea is still pretty much the same.

Anyways. So.  Society....Boys.  Honestly, isn't everyone just sooo confused. [ From penguins to boys is kind of a confusing jump.  And it is, about 4,000 miles ;). ] I mean, have you ever had a crush on a guy, and thought he was completely clueless? Is it just me that's thinking that statistically, all the stereotypes and movies that make guys out to be completely oblivious...they have to be based on something. But at the same time, they really can't be that different from us...right? and how many stereotypes are actually true? still, it leaves me wondering all the time.

Still, Any of you who have been snubbed by a guy in the past...I hope you get what I'm rambling about because otherwise that means I'm just insane and/or only know total idiots.  *sigh*

Hey!~ look at that! that's about four inches right?  SCORE!  haha :)

--TTFN -- btws, i guess katie started a trend, si tu veux, title your post like this, with a different p-word...let's keep it kid-friendly guys.... ^.^

WOAH GUYS LOOK AT THIS. IT'S CALLED A POST.

Yep. Y'all need to post. It's official.

New Years was so fun! We had a silly string fight at midnight in my drive way (fun to clean), drank champagne (sparkling cider) right out of the bottle, and kicked each other's virtual asses in the world of Halo. I love Halo. I especially like sneaking up on people with laser swords. That's the best.

ANYWAYS.

It's 2011! Only 710 days until the apocalypse! Haha. Just kidding.

But seriously, it's the new year. It's a new beginning (kind of) for us to change (to channel Obama) and for us to look back.

MOVING ON.

I resolved that I would not post this until I was done reading my English book. So you know what that means?

I FINISHED. OH MY GOD.

FHkhfljdsashflkjdsahflkjdsfhlkdsajjjjjjgf

lkdsahflkjdsaaafhlkjsa

And thus the ecstasy is composed.

hflkjdsahflkjdsahflkjdahflkjdsahfafhdsaj*Ilied*fhjdlksahflkjdsahf.

OKAY I'm finished now.

I have something new to add to my weekly musings titled "Ode to Something I hate" where I will praise something I do not like.

Ode to my Feet

Feet, oh feet
You are so neat
You get me out of bed
In the cold and in the heat
You bring me to my places
You take through my day
I used to hate your wrinkles
But now they are okay
You help me dance when I feel happy
You keep me going when I'm blue
And plus you look so hot
In my new bright red Tom's shoes.

Yeah. I definitely spent a lot of time on that. For sure.

I just feel like it's important to see the bright side of things in life because, frankly, life sucks. It really does. But if we can't get past that, then we can't get past ANYTHING. We'll be missing the sunshine right in front of your eyes.

Katie's YEARLY Challenge (as this is the first post of 2011): Find one magical moment of 2010. Figure out why it was so magical. Then, channel that magic energy into 2011 and presto! You will be happy (and a wizard [maybe]).

Song of the week: Sweet and Low by Augustana.

I lied, you actually have a second challenge this week which is to ACTUALLY LOOK UP THE SONG FOR ONCE. You know who you are.

Katie ---> out. MWAH. Happy new year!
